I'm Sarah Graham (née Keilty) and I'm standing to be an independent councillor because I want to play my part in supporting our local community. Being independent means putting people before politics. I want to work for our community by listening to the voices of its people and doing my best to ensure they are heard.
I was born and raised in North Shields and have lived here all my life. It is a beautiful place to live and work but there are huge disparities throughout the town - and that isn't fair. Everyone deserves the same opportunities. We have a 'cultural quarter' but a stone's throw away we have despair and decay on our High Street. If elected as your representative, I will work tirelessly to make North Shields whole again.
